专利摘要:
1521385 Discharging hoppers PHILIP MORRIS Inc 28 May 1976 [9 June 1975] 22333/76 Heading B8S Apparatus for use in making cigarette filters containing granular material comprises a hopper 62 which contains a supply of the material, a rotatable collector wheel 28 which includes a plurality of radially extending slots 30 terminating at the wheel's outer circumference 28a, the wheel 28 being mounted such that part of it projects into the hopper 62 so that the material can be sucked into the slots 30 which are at any time partially disposed within the hopper 62. The wheel 28 is rotated intermittently by a motor unit 10 so that each slot 30 after leaving the hopper 62 is brought into alignment with a slot 72 formed in a rotatable receptor wheel 60, each of the slots 72 containing a filter assembly defining a cavity, so that the material in a slot 30 can then be discharged therefrom into the filter assembly in the corresponding slot 72. The collector wheel 28 rotates relative to a stationary hub member 32 in which there is formed a recess 38 defining a duct 40 which the inner periphery 28b of wheel 28, and a conduit 42 leading to a fitting 44 connected to a negative pressure source (45), Fig. 2 (not shown), so that three slots 30 which are adjacent to the duet 40 and whose outer ends are disposed within the hopper 62 at any given time are subjected to suction so that material is sucked into them, the material-receiving volume of each slot 30 being limited by a porous disc 31. Due to rotation of wheel 28 each material-containing slot 30 is aligned, in turn, with a further conduit 46 formed in hub member 32, the conduit 46 being connected to a positive pressure source (49) so that the material in each slot 30 is forced into the filter assembly of the slot 72 aligned therewith. The wheels 28, 60 are caused to rotate synchronously and intermittently by a Geneva mechanism 14, and the number of slots in the two wheels is identical.

positioned in the reference flag, nce 8, and serves to transfer the granulated material to the next technological operation.
The right part of the collector wheel has a central orifice 5, in which the grasp of the npc is determined by the inner periphery of the wheel 10, trn this bottom hole 9 is somewhat larger than the bottom diameter of the stulph //, located in this hole, due to the) the wheel has the possibility of free lying; 1E1, and relative to bushings //.
The hub // doesn’t have a bracing periffernuyu part 12, which is laid, for years, ninety degrees: but the circumference doesn’t determine the channel 13, which is connected with the front wheel 10, which is coaxial, centered with the pipeline 14 which enters; radially into the sleeve //, and then the INPUT 1GG to the fitting 15, associated with the vacuum system 4. The pipeline 16, the Il sleeve through the fitting 17 is connected to a source of compressed air.
Under the collector wheel (Fig. 1), on a vertical shaft 18, is mounted with water, a semi-impeller 19 with the base: and slots 20, while the NUMBER of slots of the collector wheel corresponds to the number of slots of the impeller. Collector and receiver: the wheels are mounted with the ability to synchronously rotate in the breaker, me.
The collector wheel has arcuate elements 21 located around its circumference for closing the slots 3. Of the UHF wheel for its exit from the hopper 1.
The drive of the device (FNG. 1) includes an electric motor 22 with an output shaft 23, a Maltese trigger mechanism 34, a shaft 25, a gearbox 26, on an output shaft 27 of which a bevel gear 28 with a 45 ° dividing cone is fitted and engages with a gear wheel 29 with a delta cone angle of 45 °. A disk 30 (Fig. 2) is also mounted on the shaft 27, mounted on the collector wheel so that it can rotate with it.
A conical gear wheel 29 is fixed on the shaft 31, while the shaft 31 is fixed in its elliptical position by a cylindrical right wheel 32, which is engaged with a cylindrical front wheel 33 mounted on the shaft 18 when the large wheel 19, the shaft 18 is mounted rotatably at base 34.
The bunker / for granulated mateoiad is mounted on the 34 and has in its front wall an inlet 35, as well as a support plate 36, made of air | rO | hardened material (Fig. 4) with the possibility of movement in vertical direction , and an air-permeable cover 39, Made in the form of a mesh or “air filter”.
In the bunker there are seals 40 and 41, made in the form of strips over a thin flexible elastic sheet material, such as felt, used to seal the edges of the bunker inlet and also to remove excess material from the surface of the collector wheel.
When the air inlet 42 is connected to a source of compressed air 43 (FIG. 4), the air flow is directed through n; nrrv 36, 1) the material lying above it and the CID1: - 39, causing pseudo-burn of the bunker.
In the course of the device operation, when the collector wheel fails, its irresis will be set so that their opposite ends will interact with channel 13. The rotation of the wheel should be: clockwise, starting from the position it occupies in FIG. 3, slots with granulated material contained therein
they move down out of the inlet of the bin, and the granular is retained in the slots by an arcuate element 21, the surface of which has a similar bend, that: and the peripheral surface of the wheel 2, and closely adjoins the latter.
Then, the slots 3 with the granulated material are placed in the position of exact alignment with the slots 20 receiving wheel 19 and interacting with pipeline 16, the positive pressure being constantly maintained in the latter through compressed air supply to the fitting / 7, as a result of which
the slots 3 of the wheel 2 are forcibly transferred to the combined slot 20 of the receiving wheel 19.
A negative pressure can alternatively be created in the slots of the receiving wheel by fitting a vacuum system located in the place of exact alignment of the slots of the wheels and directly adjacent to the lower side surface 44 of the receiving wheel.
In addition, the invention also provides for the sharing of devices to create both positive and negative pressure. Pa fng. Figure 4 shows the position of the exact alignment of the slot 45 of the collector wheel with the dLO) cutting 46 of the receiving wheel in: a stationary state of the wheels. Thanks
The twisting of the wheels 2 and 19 and thirty degrees three twelve slots x In each, with the help of gear wheels and 29 n spurs 32 n 33 successive pairs of slots are set in this position.
When using the wheel 19 for the manufacture of f, ltr of cigarettes (Fig. 4), the sleeve
47fltra wrap includes seal
48filter.a, located at one end of the liner. This seal is placed in each slot of the receiving wheel, held in place by the action of friction, and has a hollow 49, designed to receive a laminated material that can be closed by another filter removal.
The device may include several collector wheels intended for the sequential supply of non-uniform materials captured by each wheel (from a separate bunker and one pick-up wheel.
On the collector and receiving wheels can be made of a different number of slots with different locations. The collector slots of the receiving wheel can be directed at an angle away from the combining coic-in.
The proposed device thus ensures reliable transfer of the granulated material in a predetermined quantity to the manufactured filters of smoking articles, preferably cigarettes.
